Quotations:

“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.” — Alan Watts

This is related to the fourth item on our basic outline: Life is the concentration of all value. There is no “good” or “bad” without life itself.

Still, while we are alive we must determine what course of action to take. For me this point is just one in a logical chain — if life is the greatest good, we still must understand how to operate while living. Epicureans look to nature for their guides.
