"...gird yourself to battle."

“With eager judgement weigh things, and, if you see them true, lift your hands and yield, or, if it is false, gird yourself to battle.” — Lucretius

I love this quote from Lucretius’ On the Nature of Things. If you come across the truth, raise your hands in peace — but if you come across falsehood, gird yourself for battle! Gives me chills!
